Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's National Day message contains the answers to so many questions which have been lingering in the minds of the people, especially on the depreciation of ringgit.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said Najib's explanation, which he made using simple words, would definitely be accepted by the people in the country.
"The prime minister strongly feels that the people, from all walks of life, will definitely be able to understand (his explanation), except the close-minded people who refused to accept any changes or new ideas and those who think that they are always right," he told reporters here last night.
While delivering his National Day Message 2015 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here last night, Najib gave the undertaking that his administration would not let Malaysia fall, but would continue to develop the country so that it prospers on the world stage.
Also present were his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Cabinet ministers, representatives of NGOs, civil servants and students.
Ahmad Zahid said the people should keep an open mind to Najib's explanation and give the government the chance to prove its commitment in taking the country to greater heights.
"Surely the people will be the judge, but until the next general election, prime minister is just asking for an opportunity for his administration to prove its commitment to keep its promises to the people," he said.
The deputy prime minister said if the people wanted a rationality in every move the government made, then they had to understand the government's aspiration to develop the country and provide comfort to the people.
