The Perikatan Nasional (PN) has received a higher positive response than Muafakat Nasional (MN) and Barisan Nasional (BN).
According to a study conducted by the Merdeka Center, 51 per cent of the 3,415 respondents viewed PN from a positive angle and only 27 per cent thought negatively.
That number is better than MN which only received 37 per cent positive response, BN with 40 per cent positive response while Pas has 39 per cent.
Pakatan Harapan (PH) recorded a 52 per cent negative response and only 25 per cent were happy with the coalition.
Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) also received a negative response higher than positive ones when 39 per cent responded negatively while positive feedback was only 28 per cent.
In the same study, 60 per cent of Malay voters supported Bersatu joining MN.
Meanwhile, 65 per cent Malay voters also preferred UMNO in PN and 68 per cent of them wished to see PAS continue to be part of PN.
UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi recently announced that UMNO has decided not to join PN as a component party.
On the other hand, the Member of Parliament for Bagan Datuk said UMNO will continue to strengthen MN with Pas and BN components.
Zahid added that support for the PN government is only based on the support of UMNO and BN MPs and state assemblymen in the formation of the federal government and several states.
Meanwhile, Pas stressed that the party supports the government formed by PN led by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin until the 15th General Election (GE-15).
PAS secretary-general, Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan said his party had no problem expressing its support and would continue to be together in the PN government.
