AMONG the headlines for Friday, June 3, 2022, former Malaysian ambassador to Indonesia Datuk Zainal Abidin Alias and his son, Mohamed Rizal, linked to a Janda Baik marijuana farm, were charged today at a Magistrate's Court in Bentong with several drug offences including trafficking of dangerous drugs which carries a death penalty.
Also, Myanmar classrooms became the latest battleground as students began a new school year. Members of a pro-junta stand guard outside, providing protection in the absence of regular security forces.
It’s been more than a year now, the junta is trying to tempt educators who are still on strike to return.
