AMONG the headlines for Monday, 24 May, 2021, Malaysia continues to record more than 6,000 new COVID-19 cases, as intensive care units in the country continue to struggle with the influx of patients.
Many of the 6,509 new COVID-19 cases were from the Klang Valley area. Selangor logged one-third from the total with 2,049 cases while 530 were found in Sarawak.
Also, Myanmar's ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi appears in person at a court hearing today for the first time since her government was overthrown by the military in a Feb. 1 coup.
