AMONG the headlines for Thursday, 22 July, 2021, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) is in the midst of proposing to the National Security Council (NSC) to reactivate tourism activities in phases.
In a statement today, Motac said the plan includes a Tier 1 that allows intra-district travel and tourism activities within the district, meanwhile Tier 2, allowing inter-district travel and tourism, Tier 3 which allows for inter-state travel and tourism and Tier 4 allowing international travel with inbound tourists.
Also, China on Thursday said a WHO proposal to audit Chinese labs as part of further investigation into the origins of the coronavirus pandemic showed "disrespect" and "arrogance towards science".
Last week, the World Health Organization said a second stage of the international probe should include audits of Chinese labs, amid increasing pressure from the United States for an investigation into a biotech lab in Wuhan.
