AMONG the headlines for Tuesday, November 9, 2021, Nagaenthran K. Dharmalingam, who is scheduled to be hanged on Wednesday (Nov 10) for drug trafficking, has tested positive for COVID-19 as revealed in Singapore’s Court of Appeal earlier today.
The 33-year-old was granted a further stay of his execution by a three-judge court that was urgently convened to hear his challenge against his death sentence.
Also, thousands of anti-vax protesters gathered across the country in New Zealand today, with some individuals attacking police and threatening Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
In the earlier hours of the protest on Tuesday, more than 2,000 people gathered outside New Zealand’s parliament in Wellington to protest the country’s vaccine mandates, with some protesters threatening violence.
