Selangor Police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the 26-year-old man, who is also the victim's boyfriend, is still in service in Perak.
"Yes, he is a policeman at a police station in Perak," he said when contacted.
Meanwhile, Perak Police chief Datuk Azizi Mat Aris also confirmed that the suspect is a lance corporal attached at the Slim River Police station.
