The police have denied that there were racial brawls in the Klang area.

Selangor acting police chief, SAC Datuk A. Thaiveegan said this following rumours of racial brawls in recent times.

Thaiveegan also urged the public not to believe the rumours and hoped everyone would get the correct information from the Klang Utara district headquarters.

Last Thursday, Police arrested three men believed to be involved in a brawl between two groups in Rebana Flat, Bandar Baru Bukit Raja, Kapar.

North Klang district police chief ACP Mohamad Shukor Sulong had said that the trio, aged 24, 33 and 35, were arrested separately in Jeram, Kuala Selangor and Klang Utama.

“The three suspects were arrested between 10pm to 12am last night… two of them were nabbed in a house in Jeram while another one was picked up by the road side in the Klang Utama area.

“One of them who is in the wanted list is believed to have beaten a man in the fight and we were now tracking down one more suspect,” he had said.

Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar had also tweeted about the incident.
