Police detain three men for assaulting Uber driver

Three men were remanded by the police today to assist in investigation of assault on a Uber driver in Paya Terubung, here, on Tuesday.
Timur Laut District Police chief, ACP Anuar Omar said the three, aged 29 to 40 years, were detained separately around Paya Terubung and Air Itam yesterday.
He added that the 29-year-old Uber driver was also detained and remanded for four days over the allegation that he had outraged the modesty of a Vietnamese woman, 43, who was also detained in connection with the case.
He added that the police have also identified several other men who were involved in the assault and ordered them to surrender.
In the incident at 3.30 pm on Tuesday, the driver was said to have exposed himself and pulled the woman’s hand to his penis when sending her to Agryll Road, Georgetown from Lintang Paya Terubung.
