Police is still identifying one of the terrorist bodies that is believed to be the leader of Sulu terrorist that was killed during the gun battle with security forces in Lahad Datu few days ago.

Sabah Police Commissioner, Datuk Hamza Taib said the General rank was known based on the uniform that was found at the operation site.

Hamza also informed the press that out of 22 terrorist bodies that were found on the ‘mopping-out’ operation area, 18 of them have been sent to Hospital Lahad Datu while the rest were sent to Hospital Tawau for autopsy.

Until today, the effort to retrieve out the bodies from the operation area in Tanjung Batu is still ongoing.

“We highly believed that the one of the terrorists bodies rank as General. However, I am yet to affirm it belong to Haji Musa or not and this can only proven after the investigation conducted,” said Hamza.

He added that he personally had looked on all the bodies including the General’s body but he can’t tell that positively without firm evidence like identity card and personal documentation.

“We have found his uniform but it is hard to say that it was him (Haji Musa) because when he was shot he was without his uniform,” he said.

A local newspaper reported that the General of Sulu Militant Army, Haji Musa was reported among the 32 Sulu terrorists that were killed during the firefight with security forces.
