Police will investigate if there is foul play involved in the incident where a Road Transport Department (RTD) enforcement officer was run over by a trailer at Setia Alam Toll Plaza, Shah Alam, yesterday.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said police were questioning the 68-year-old trailer driver who was now in police custody.
"Some people are saying that it is a 'strange' incident and we will not take the matter lightly. Police will explore every angle, including the driver's intention."
Khalid advised the public not to speculate on the case.
He was speaking at a press conference after delivering a lecture on national security to over 700 students and staff of International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) in Gombak, today.
In the incident at about 1pm, RTD officer Mohd Ridzuan Yusoff, 34, suffered severe head injuries and died at the scene. --Bernama
