Police are tracking down two men believed to be linked to the kidnapping of a boy, who is an Indonesian national, in Kampung Padang Balang, Off Jalan Sentul here Friday afternoon.
Wangsa Maju district police chief, Supt Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif said both suspects were believed to have kidnapped the boy, aged one year and two months, while he was playing in front of his house.
"Both suspects, who were riding a motorcycle, had abducted the victim. Subsequently, the victim's sister lodged a police report at the Setapak Police Station at 6.30pm yesterday.
"The victim was found safe 30 minutes later by a police team together with villagers at the bus stop at Batu 4, Jalan Gombak here," he said when contacted.
He said the victim was believed to have been left by the suspects after finding out that the police were tracking them down.
The victim was later taken to the Setapak Police Station before being sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for further examination.
