Police nab MACC man who abused, threatened wife with parang

Johor Police Chief, Datuk Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said, the 37-year-old man will be brought to the Segamat Magistrate's Court this Saturday for the remand process.
Police have arrested the suspect of a wife abuse case involving a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officer in Segamat that went viral recently, in Batu Berendam, Melaka at 8pm Friday night.
Johor Police Chief, Datuk Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said, the 37-year-old man will be brought to the Segamat Magistrate's Court this Saturday for the remand process.
"He will be brought to the Segamat Magistrate's Court on Saturday for the remand process," he said.
The MACC has opened a disciplinary investigation paper against an officer in the agency who had allegedly abused his wife threatened her with a parang as spread over the social media since few days ago.
MACC in a statementon Thursday said it was prepared to cooperate with the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) following a police report lodged by the woman.
The report prompted the Johor Police to track down the suspect, leading to his arrest.
