Police nab man who made 12-year-old girl his sex slave

A man, who reportedly made a 12-year-old schoolgirl his sex slave, was nabbed by police today.

The 24-year-old suspect was picked up at his house in Taman Setia Jaya here around 3pm.

Kota Setar police chief ACP Mohd Rozi Jidin said the suspect was arrested when the police conducted a second raid at his house.

A urine test was also done on the suspect, but the result tested negative for drugs.

Police said the suspect has been remanded until Oct 18 and is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.

It was previously reported that the man had allegedly offered the girl, a Standard Six pupil, syabu (methamphetamine) as a token for fulfilling his sexual needs.

According to police, the two met through the messaging mobile application WeChat and had been engaging in sexual activities ever since.

Police said the matter was exposed when the victim's mother noticed changes in her daughter's behaviour.
