The 37-year-old man was arrested at a restaurant in Machang Bubok, Bukit Mertajam at 10.15pm last night.
Police detained a Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) Putrajaya officer for allegedly extorting and demanding money from a police officer.
The 37-year-old man was arrested at a restaurant in Machang Bubok, Bukit Mertajam at 10.15pm last night.
Seberang Perai Tengah district police chief Asisstant Commissioner Nik Ros Azhan Abd Hamid said the suspect is believed to have demanded money from policemen to protect gambling activities.
