The police have some leads which they believe could facilitate investigations into the abduction of a pastor in Petaling Jaya on Feb 13.
As such, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar has urged the public to desist making accusations and assumptions and let the police do their job.
"We have some leads (on the pastor's disappearance) so allow us to continue investigating these leads. Do not spoil our ongoing efforts by discussing them (the leads) openly.
"(By doing so) You are only putting the life of the pastor in danger," he told a press conference after officiating the Far East Regional Working Group Meeting-International Drug Enforcement Conference (IDEC) here today.
The pastor was believed to have been abducted by several individuals while driving at Jalan Bahagia in Kelana Jaya.
