Police have received 198 reports from individuals and groups in protest of the Bersih 5.0 convoy scheduled for eight days starting this Saturday.

Negeri Sembilan police chief, Datuk Jaafar Mohd Yusof said yesterday, the convoy plans to tour eight districts in the state starting at Tampin and ending at Nilai on Nov 12.

The police received the application for Bersih 5.0 convoy on Oct 26, ten days before the convoy was to be held.

"The organisers have been told of the conditions. The police are prepared and will act if the organisers flout the conditions of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012," he told reporters after launching the Mounted Patrol Unit of the Royal Malaysian Police at Dataran Teluk Kemang, near here.

Jaafar had held talks with all eight district police chiefs to coordinate preparation and action in the event of untoward incidents happening.
