Police seize pistol, seven bullets in Sandakan, three men detained

Police seized a silver-coloured Armscor 45 pistol and seven rounds of ammunition from a man following a tip-off last April 3, Sandakan police chief ACP Azhar Hamin said today.

He said the police, acting on a tip-off, detained the man, aged 33, at Lorong BDC 6, Jalan Buli Sim-Sim at about 3.30 pm on that day and found the pistol, with six bullets, in a bag he was carrying.

Following investigation, police raided the suspect's house at Taman Beach Garden here and found another bullet, he told a media conference here today.

He said police also arrested the suspect's two friends, aged 33 and 37, who were in the house.

All of them tested positive for syabu, he added.
