Police tracking for escaped detainee in Paya Jaras

Police are tracking a detainee who fled while in police custody in Paya Jaras, Sungai Buloh on Tuesday.
Selangor police chief Datuk Abdul Samah Mat, said the search for 34-year-old suspect who was still in handcuffs and dressed in orange lock-up clothes involves several teams at the area.
"We are tracking down the suspect. The search does not involved one or two teams but it involves teams from local districts," he said when contacted by Astro AWANI.
He said the suspect, who is still in remand was arrested for investigations related to the case, as well as for involvement in some other cases.
In the incident around 8pm Tuesday, the detainee who was accompanied by an officer and three policemen was taken to Paya Jaras to search for another accomplice who is still at large.
The detainee who was allegedly involved in 29 cases of theft and robbery around Klang Utara, Sungai Buloh and Damansara Damai escaped from a police van while under guard when the officers were searching for the accomplice at the home of the suspect's family.
