Police are looking for a Syrian national and his family over what is suspected to be a bag containing a hand-grenade spotted at a hotel room in Port Dickson.
Port Dickson Police chief Supt Adzli Abu Shah said police could only ascertain whether a grenade was indeed in the bag after tracking down the man, in his 30s.
An employee of a hotel in Port Dickson had told police that he saw a grenade in a bag that the man had taken with him after checking out of the hotel, he said.
"When the man was checking out, the hotel employee had gone into the room for the routine check. He saw a bag under the bed and on opening it saw what he thought looked like a grenade," he said.
At that time, the guest entered the room and took the bag, he told Bernama.
Adzli said police believed the Syrian and his family were still in the country. -- Bernama
