Police truck carrying 25 accused overturned

A police truck overturned today at Jalan Pandan Utama, here around 11.30am which carries 25 accused from Ampang Jaya Magistrate Court.

The driver who was taking the defendants to Ampang Jaya District Police Headquarters was reported to lose control and hit the divider at the MRR2 Highway.

Twelve of the defendants were injured and taken to the Ampang Hospital while seven of the police officers in the truck were reported safe.

This case will be investigated under Section 41 (1) of Road Transport Act 1987.
