Police website closed temporarily after hacking attempt
According to Bernama, the PDRM website was accessible again at 9.34pm on Saturday.
The Royal Malaysian Police confirmed that its official website was inaccessible for a period late this evening.
Inspector-General of Police Secretariat assistant head (corporate communications), ACP Datin Asmawati Ahmad said the website was temporarily closed for restoration purposes after the hacking attempt.
"We had to shut down first to restore and fortify the firewall," she said in a statement.
Bernama realised that the website was inaccessible at 8.20pm. It was accessible again at 9.34pm.
