The police have not recovered any identification document belonging to missing British national Gareth David Huntley at a river in Pulau Tioman where the decomposed body of a man was found last Wednesday.
Nevertheless, a police investigation team would remain at the Sungai Mentawak near Chalet Lagoon in Kampung Juara to look for evidence linked to the foreigner.
Huntley, 34, was reported missing at the Lubuk Teja waterfalls on May 27.
Pahang police chief Datuk Sharifuddin Ab Ghani said today, the team was being retained to scour the scene where the body was found.
He said the body was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital.
Yesterday, Huntley's mother, Janet Southwell was present at the hospital to provide blood samples for DNA matching.
