Policeman loses pistol after accident in Shah Alam

A Selangor CID policeman has reported the loss of his pistol, following a road accident in Section 20, early yesterday morning.

The unidentified policeman, who sustained head and leg injuries in the 5.45am crash, was warded at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital.

Selangor acting police chief Datuk A. Thaiveegan said the police were investigating several aspects of the crash, including the probability that the firearm was taken by passers-by, moments after the crash.

He was speaking to reporters after delivering a speech to police officers in a special assembly at the Selangor police contingent headquarters here today.
