Perlis Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azlan Man wants all political parties to reveal their sources of funding.
It was unfair of the Opposition to ask the Barisan Nasional (BN) or UMNO to do so while they were spared, he told reporters when met at the Aidilfitri open house of the Kangar Municipal Council, Tuesday.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is also BN chairman and UMNO president, made the suggestion recently but it was rejected by the Opposition.
"If the Opposition wants BN and UMNO to reveal the sources of funding, they too, should be willing to do the same," said Azlan, adding the funding was meant to strengthen UMNO's position.
"Whether the funding comes from abroad or within is not an issue. The important thing is it is legal," he said.
