Poll: Do you use rain water to cope with water shortages?
As the heat wave continues to envelope in the country, problems with water supply have again returned to haunt Malaysians, especially those in the Klang Valley.
Unscheduled water disruptions have occurred in several areas in Kuala Lumpur, Cheras and a few areas in Damansara as well.
According to SYABAS, the reason for the disruption was that the Sungai Langat Water Treatment Plant is unable to cope with the sharp rise in demand due to the hot weather.
Two million residents of Klang Valley and Putrajaya are expected to face problems with water supply if the current heat wave continues for three more weeks, said Deputy Minister of Energy, Green Technology, and Water, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid.
Even as the perennial water issue continues, we at Astro AWANI want to ask our readers: Do you use rain water to cope with water shortages?
