POLL: Separating the functions of clinics and pharmacies
PHARMACIES VS CLINICS : Who should dispense medicine?
The proposal submitted to the government on separating the role of clinics and pharmacies in dispensing medicine to patients is garnering a lot of attention from the public.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S.Subramaniam said the government is in the process of receiving feedback from the public with regards to the issue.
Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) President Dr H. Krishna Kumar, in supporting Dr Subramaniam's statement that the separation of pharmacies and clinics should only take place after a comprehensive health care restructuring, said currently there was a lack of pharmacists to dispense the medicines especially in rural areas.
Should the role of dispensing medicine solely be exclusive to the pharmacies or maintain the current practise where clinics dispense medications?
Take part in the poll below and let us know where you stand in this matter.
