Porsche’s Mission E: the year's most beautiful concept car
Porsche’s all-electric four seat Mission E concept bagged one of perhaps many more awards in time to come by being annouced as the ’The Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year’ 2015.
Alongside Mazda’s RX-Vision – ’The Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year’ The Mission E concept was awarded the coveted prize by a panel of judges, consisting of leading figures from the worlds of automobile, media, architecture and fashion.
The Porsche Mssion E concept car feature four doors and four single seats, producing over 600bhp of total system output for a circa-500 km driving range. Power is sent to all-four wheels which also designed to steer the car. A 3.5second century sprint time is claimed and only requires a charging time of around 15 minutes to reach 80 per cent charge of total electrical energy. Instruments are intuitively operated by eye-tracking and gesture control, some even via holograms – oriented towards the driver by automatically adjusting the displays to the driver's position.
Porsche’s works race driver Mark Webber also gained a price at the “Festival Automobile International” for his very successful 2015 season with Porsche. The Australian and winner of the 2015 World Endurance Championship drivers’ title was awarded “The Festival Special Grand Prize” by the exhibition judges, etching his name onto a glorious motorsports roll of honour, which also include other great names such as Alain Prost and Jacky Ickx.
