Port Dickson police solve car theft case in 24 hours

With the arrest of three men in Cyberjaya, Selangor on April 29, Port Dickson police solved a car theft case in 24 hours.
Port Dickson police chief Supt Adzli Abu Shah said police arrested the three men at 8pm and10.30pm on that day and recovered a Mercedes-Benz E250 car worth RM250,000 that was reported stolen in Dataran Segar, Lukut, near here, on April 28.
"During a house break-in, the luxury car was stolen around 10.55am, when the victim ,who was unaware of the incident, was alone in the house. Following the occurrence, police detained two men, ages 26 and 36, around 8pm, in Cyberjaya," he told a press conference here today.
He said initial investigations revealed that one of the suspects had 12 previous criminal records involving mostly house break-ins and robberies while the other had five, two cases of theft and three for drugs.
"Following the first arrests, we seized a red Mazda car worth RM90,000 that was recently reported stolen in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
"Also seized were valuables, namely six watches, five mobile phones, a laptop and an iPad, a credit card and a card reader - all worth around RM10,000," he said.
According to Adzli, around 10.30pm, police detained another man who had five criminal records involving robbery, drugs, possession of firearms and fighting.
He sai, in the second raid, police recovered the Mercedes-Benz E250.
"The three suspects were held under remand for nine days and surrendered to the Cheras police to facilitate in investigations on the Mazda car and other cases in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor," he said.
