Several other areas also recorded a drop in the API reading, including Banting, Selangor (125), Shah Alam (110) and Petaling Jaya (103).
Twenty-two areas recorded moderate API reading including Seri Manjung, Perak (56), Alor Setar, Kedah (51), Cheras, Kuala Lumpur (80), and Nilai, Negeri Sembilan (91).
API readings of between 0 to 50 are categorised as good, moderate (51-100), unhealthy (101-200), very unhealthy (201-300) and hazardous (more than 301).
Members of the public could serve the API status by surfing the department's portal at http://apims.doe.gov.my.
