Post-mortem on Corporal Baharuddin completed

ALOR SETAR:The post-mortem on the remains of the General Operations Force (GOF) personnel Corporal Baharuddin Ramli, 54, has been completed at the Forensic Department of the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital at 6.20 pm today.

Bernama was made to understand that the post-mortem began at 2.10 pm.

After the post-mortem, the fallen policeman was accorded the special honour in a brief ceremony attended by a team of policemen from the Kedah Police Contingent headquarters.

Also present to pay their last respects to Baharuddin were Kedah Police Chief Datuk Hasanuddin Hassan and famous preacher Ustaz Ebit Liew.

The remains of Baharuddin were then taken to his hometown in Negeri Sembilan for burial.

Baharuddin was killed in a shootout with smugglers at the Malaysia-Thailand Border Wall TS9 in Padang Besar at 3.10 am today.

Another GOF member, Corporal Norihan a/l Tari, 39, was badly injured.
