Powerful Tok Bali current 'sucked' two teenagers

Two teenagers were feared drowned following the strong current at the Tok Bali beach here at about 4.30pm, Sunday.
According to Pasir Puteh Fire and Rescue Station chief Azhar Elmi Mustofar, they were Azim Anizam, 14, and Amir Azfa Rafar, 13, both from Selising.
He said the victims went to the beach with the two others, Muhammad Firdaus Mustafa, 16, from Kampung Taweh, Gaal, and Amir Shahir Zakima, 13, from Kampung Nering, who managed to swim to safety.
The teenagers were reportedly attempting to rescue their friends but were swept away by the strong current instead.
A search and rescue (SAR) team involving 18 personnel from the Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency were deployed to the beach where the victims went missing.
