PPIM chief activist and member charged with causing hurt on consumer activist

Malaysian Muslim Consumers' Association (PPIM) activist leader Datuk Nadzim Johan and a member of the association pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court here today to a charge of voluntarily causing hurt on a consumer activist last March.
Nadzim, 54, and Tengku Faezah Raja Fuad, 32, made the plea after the charge was read to them before Magistrate Nur Azura Murah.
Both of them were charged with committing the offence on Adam Mikail, 43, who hold a permanent resident status in France, at 3rd Floor, Villa Puteri Condominium, Jalan Tun Ismail here at noon on March 28 this year.
Deputy public prosecutor Suhaimi Ibrahim, who prosecuted, informed the court that this was a summon case and therefore, did not require bail.
Following which, Nadzim and Tengku Faezah, both represented by lawyer Hasnal Rezua Merican, were ordered to be released.
The court set June 26 for mention.
