The People's Progressive Party (PPP) and two non-governmental organisations (NGOs) today lodged a police report against DAP for releasing a video clip which tarnishes the image of the country leaders.
The NGOs - Ikatan Rakyat Insan Muslim Malaysia (IRIM) and the Malaysian Consumers Development Board (LPPM) - and PPP alleged that the video clip produced by the opposition parties featured several cartoon animations which resembled Malaysian leaders.
IRIM president Amir Amsaa Alla Pitchay said the video clip, which was uploaded by DAP on YouTube, insulted the leaders through comic characters doing the Gangnam Style dance.
"This is an insolent act which the people cannot accept and also an act which reflects their (opposition) arrogance," he told reporters after lodging a report at the Dang Wangi Police Headquarters here.
He said action should be taken against those responsible for producing the video clip.
