The presence of five vehicles from the Fire and Rescue Department, including one from the Hazardous Materials Management Team (Hazmat), at the Sepang District Police Headquarters today, stimulated the activities of journalists 'parked' there for the past few days.
The five vehicles were seen entering the compound of the police station at 3.20pm and this attracted the attention of the media which gathered outside.
Sepang police personnel were seen receiving the presence of about 10 firemen who then entered the building and less than 10 minutes later, policemen and firemen were seen exiting the building.
The firemen then moved and parked their vehicles again in the form of a blockade, as if to block views from outside, before removing several equipment and tools from the Hazmat vehicle.
Bernama's observation found three vehicles were within the blockade of the JBPM vehicles.
The vehicles were a white Suzuki Swift car, a black Myvi and a red taxi.
A team wearing white and yellow suits was also seen in the area concerned, inspecting the three vehicles, other than the presence of a forensic unit.
Early Sunday morning, the Royal Malaysian Police Forensic Laboratory, Hazmat and the Malaysia Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) performed an integrated operation to detect toxic and dangerous chemicals at the KL International Airport 2 (klia2).
The operation was conducted following findings of a chemical identified as VX Nerve Agent, which was believed to have been used to kill Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. -- BERNAMA
