Private hospital reps to join MOH meeting on vaccination programme

Gleneagles Hospital Penang chief executive officer, Ivan Loh said the meeting this afternoon would address the technical aspects of the vaccination programme, such as the vaccine logistics, how the programme is going to be carried out, as well as the support needed.

"We hope that all members of the public, both young and old, can play their role by taking the vaccine," he told reporters at Penang Hospital (HPP), here.

Asked about concerns over the adverse effects of the COVID-19 vaccine, Loh said the chances of getting the side effects were still significantly low.

Earlier today, in line with the seventh day of the Chinese New Year, Gleneagles Hospital Penang distributed 180 packets of nasi lemak and packed Yee Sang to the frontliners at HPP to commemorate "Humans Day".

Also, nearly 1,200 employees of Gleneagles Hospital Penang have contributed medical supplies and daily necessities to the Silver Jubilee Home for The Aged, as well as school supplies such as stationery and study materials to the children at House of Hope.
