The assistant warden of a private religious school who has been on remand since Thursday following the death of a student, was released on a court bond today.
The 29-year-old man arrived at the Magistrates' Court here at 12.15pm in orange lockup attire accompanied by two policemen.
He was later brought to the Kota Tinggi Court Registrar''s Office at 12.45pm before being freed 15 minutes later.
Kota Tinggi Sessions Court Judge Salawati Djambari released the assistant warden on a RM20,000 court bond.
He was freed based on Section 118 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
