Perlis mufti Datuk Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin who is reportedly under probe for a Facebook posting on Bersih, said he is sharing a room with Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Abu Bakar during a pilgrimage to Mecca.
"Today marks the third day of my pilgrimage in Mecca. We are guests of Raja Salam Abu Aziz," he wrote on his Facebook, referring to Saudi Arabia's King.
“My roommate is Khalid Abu Bakar, the Inspector-General of Police. Interesting to chat with him and share experiences," he wrote.
Mohd Asri said Khalid was elected as Malaysia’s delegation chief while he is the hajj mufti.
News portal The Malaysian Insider had reported earlier today that Mohd Asri will be questioned under the Sedition Act over his Facebook posting, the night before the Bersih 4 rally.
The portal said police had confirmed that they have opened investigation papers on the mufti.
