Product update for a number of Honda vehicles

Honda Malaysia just announced that they will be giving 93,929 Honda vehicles in the country. The update will involve changing the battery of said Honda vehicles as a proactive measure to ensure the safety of the customers.

The Honda models that are affected are:

The City dating back from 2003 to 2014 and 2016
The Jazz that were manufactured in the years 2009, 2012-2013, 2015-2016
The Civic manufactured in 2010, 2012 and 2013
Insight models manufactured in 2011 to 2013
Honda CR-Zs manufactured in 2012 to 2013
Freed that were manufactured in 2010 to 2012
Honda CR-V that were manufactured in 2013

All affected customers will be informed via notification letters which will also include details of the product update. The company advises the affected customers to send their vehicles to their nearest authorised Honda dealer for inspection.

Should any replacement procedures required to be done the replacement of the battery will be carried out once the parts are ready and all parts and labour charges related to the product update be borne by Honda Malaysia.
