Five development projects promised by the government amounting to RM1.1 million are being implemented and scheduled for completion by this year.
Labuan member of parliament Datuk Yussof Mahal said they comprised the construction of four village community halls (balai raya) in Kampung Sungai Miri, Kampung Kilan Pulau Akar, Kampung Pantai and another village to be identified, each costing RM150,000.
The fifth project is the RM500,000 concrete bridge in Kampung Patau-Patau.
"We'll deliver as promised, contrary to what had been claimed by the opposition," he told Bernama.
Yussof reminded villagers to fully utilise the facilities for beneficial community programmes.
Once the community halls were completed, all 27 villages in Labuan would have such a facility, he said.
Yussof, who is Labuan Corporation chairman, said he would monitor the projects to ensure that they were ready on schedule.
