SIBU:Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri James Jemut Masing questioned the ability of the Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) to fulfil its promise to the people, especially in developing rural areas.
It follows allegations that the party failed to listen to its own members, leading to more than 200 former members leaving the party, including former PSB Ngemah Protem Chairman, Susan Clement Ingun, on Monday.
He said, if the promise to the party members themselves failed to be fulfilled, the same fate may happen to the people in the rural areas promised development by the party.
"The problem with PSB is that there are many things that need to be implemented but not seriously.
"PSB cannot be used as a party to develop rural areas," he explained.
James who is also the President of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) said this when met by the media at the PSB exit declaration ceremony here, on Monday.
For the record, PSB was previously known as Parti Rakyat Bersatu or UPP which is a fraction of Parti Rakyat Bersatu Sarawak (SUPP). PSB is led by former Sarawak Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh as party presidentEnable GingerCannot connect to Ginger Check your internet connection or reload the browserDisable in this text fieldEditEdit in GingerEdit in Ginger×
