Pupil killed while crossing road to school in Dungun
The body was sent to Dungun Hospital for post-mortem.
A Standard Four pupil was killed when he was hit by a Proton Persona while crossing the road to school this morning.
The incident occurred at kilometre 7.5 Jalan Santong–Al Mukhtafi Bilah Shah near Paka, Dungun, at about 7.15am.
Mohd Syamil Harun, a pupil at Sek Keb Santong, died at the scene following severe head injury.
The victim who lived at Kg Santong had rushed to cross the road after getting down from the four-wheel vehicle driven by his father.
He was hit by the Proton Persona driven by a woman heading towards Paka town and thrown off a few metres away.
The woman driver was unhurt in the incident.
The body was sent to Dungun Hospital for post-mortem.
