Queen takes part in tournament

The Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Hajah Haminah, today participated in a charity golf tournament in aid of the Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation at the Glenmarie Golf & Country Club, here.

Her Majesty arrived at the club at 7.30 am and was greeted by the Chairman of the Kedah Council of Regency, Datuk Seri Tunku Annuar Sultan Badlishah; Kedah Council of Regency members Tan Sri Tunku Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah and Datuk Seri Tunku Abdul Hamid Thani Sultan Badlishah; and Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Tuanku Hajah Haminah had breakfast with the participants of the charity golf tournament before the tee-off at 8 am.

The inaugural tournament organised by the foundation drew more than 120 participants, comprising mainly VIPs and sponsors.
