QZ8501: Fernandes to accompany body of Khairunnisa back to Palembang today
AirAsia's stewardess Khairunnisa Haider's body will be flown back to Palembang today, accompanied by the airline's chief Tony Fernandes.
The body of AirAsia stewardess Khairunnisa Haidar, 22, will be flown back to her hometown in Palembang today.
Her body was handed to her family after positive identification was done through fingerprinting and dental records, as reported by Republika Online.
AirAsia chief Tan Sri Tony Fernandes tweeted that he will be accompanying her body home to Palembang.

Khairunnisa who was listed in the Disaster Victims Identification list, were among the 10 bodies found in the Java Sea.
She was also wearing a ring and an Alexandre Christie branded watch.
She was among the 162 passengers and crew members who were onboard of the ill-fated QZ8501 which crashed in the Java Sea on Sunday.
Apart from her, two other bodies were identified as Grayson Herbert Linaksita and Kevin Alexander Sutjipto.
The total number of bodies identified now stood at four.
Flight QZ8501had departed the Juanda Airport in Surabaya at 5.25am on Sunday and was scheduled to land at the Changi Airport in Singapore at 8.30am (Malaysian time) on the same day.
The last contact between the plane and the Jakarta air traffic control was at 7.12am Malaysian time.
Passengers on the flight comprised 149 Indonesians, three South Koreans, a Singaporean, a Malaysian and a Briton. The crew comprised six Indonesians and a Frenchman.
