Rafizi Ramli remanded for three days

Pandan MP Mohd Rafizi Ramli has been remanded for three days beginning today over his recent exposure of classified documents pertaining to the Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT).
The remand was issued by Magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Wan Ab Rahman.
Mohd Rafizi before this had made a statement to the media linking LTAT to state investment fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
Yesterday, the PKR vice president, who is also the party’s secretary-general, was detained by police outside of Parliament building around 6.20pm to be investigated under Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act (OSA) 1972.
According to his lawyer, R. Sivarasa, several of his client’s personal belongings including his computer, laptop and mobile phone were also seized by police when they brought Mohd Rafizi to the PKR headquarters in Tropicana Damansara, his Pandan service centre and his home in Kampung Pandan.
On Monday, LTAT in a statement had said they would initiate legal action against Mohd Rafizi who made allegations concerning gratuities payment to LTAT veterans.
