More than 200 passengers were stranded at the Langkawi International Airport after the low-cost carrier Rayani Air cancelled two of its flights bound to Kuala Lumpur.
Flight RN180 scheduled to Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) at 11.10 am was not allowed to depart due to the technical problems.
A Rayani Air Customer Service officer told Bernama, “I was made to understand that the engineering division is still waiting for the replacement parts to fix the aircraft."
He also said the affected passengers were given a choice whether to use ferry and the bus services provided by the airline back to Kuala Lumpur or to get their airfares refunded.
Furthermore, another Rayani Air flight scheduled at 6.20pm had also been cancelled.
As a result, netizens opted for social media to express their dissatisfaction towards the airline’s professionalism.
They pointed out Rayani Air’s failure to provide clear explanation and reasonable solution.

I dont mind if flight is delayed. But to come to airport to find flight being retimed 3hrs later is nonsense #rayaniair

Berikutan flight Rayani Air banyak cancel, pihak Rayani Air mengambil tindakan tidak matang dengan menutup akaun rasmi mereka!
