RCI hearing on Sabah illegal immigrants to Resume on Thursday

The Royal Commission of Inquiry on illegal immigrants in Sabah will resume hearing for two days on Thursday and Friday (Aug 15 and 16).
Its secretary, Datuk Saripuddin Kasim in a statement here Tuesday said the hearing would be carried out at the Federal Court in the High Court Complex, Kota Kinabalu, from 9.30am.
"To date, 197 witnesses have completed giving evidence before the commission in nine proceedings held since January," he said.
The commission is headed by former Chief Justice of Sabah and Sarawak, Tan Sri Steve Shim Lip Kiong.
The last hearing was held in July in two sessions, from July 15 to 19 and from July 22 to 25.
