'Red Shirt' rally resolutions to be submitted to PM in October

The 14 'Red Shirt' rally resolutions will be submitted to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, the latest by early October.

Kelantan Poverty Foundation founder, Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the resolutions made at 'Himpunan Rakyat Bersatu' were ready except for adding other data and images of the rally.

"Defending democracy and nurturing respect among Malaysians are among the 14 resolutions made at the rally on Sept 16.

"National Silat Federation (Pesaka) president Tan Sri Mohd Ali Rustam, several organisers and I, will call on the prime minister and parliament speaker to explain the rally," he told a press conference, here, today.

Annuar stressed that the organisation of the rally was not on the order of the prime minister but by Pesaka to show disappointment with the organisation of the Bersih 4 rally on Aug 29 and 30.

"The prime minister never asked us to organise a rally and repeatedly reminded us not to break the law and not to touch racial sensitivities.

"The (Red Shirt) rally was not racist and was organised in harmony and under control. After the rally, the 'temperature' subsided, so do not reignite the flames," he said.
