Red Shirts rally: Taylor's terminate the contract with Wawasan Sutera

Taylor's University has terminated the contract of bus operator Wawasan Sutera Travel and Tours, for using the bus with the university’s logo, to ferry supporters to the Himpunan Rakyat Bersatu rally on September 16, 2015.
This issue was brought to university’s attention after pictures of rally supporters alighting from the bus, went viral on social media, with students urging the authorities to provide an explanation for the incident.
Through a Facebook statement yesterday, Taylor's announced that their contract with Wawasan Sutera has been terminated.

“In view of this situation, the Management has reviewed the contract with the bus operator and has decided to terminate it, in accordance to the terms and conditions of the contract, effective today.
According to the statement, in compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract that requires a two-month notice, Wawasan Sutera bus services will continue to run according to the agreed schedule without disruption of services until November 16, 2015.
Following the termination, a new bus operator will commence its services on November 17, 2015.
Earlier, the authorities issued a statement on September 16 to reiterate that the management of the university had not authorized the service of the bus for this purpose and the bus was not used to ferry their students to the rally.

"Taylor's University has noted that our bus which was contracted to third party, Wawasan Sutera, was used by the operator to ferry passengers to the red rally today without our knowledge.
“Immediate action has been made to withdraw the use of the bus with our logo.
“We regret the unintentional association of Taylor's University with this event,” the authorities said.
