On a separate development, Khalid said investigations found no signs of abuse on the bodies of the three sisters who were discovered drowned in Alor Semela, Jalan Datuk Kumbar, Kedah.

"There are no signs of abuse but we are still suspicious. Even though the cause of death was drowning, we have classified the case as murder," he said. In last Saturday's incident, the body of Nor Syafikah Nadia Rusdi, 14, was found at a padi field in Alor Senibong, Langgar at 3.45pm.

The bodies of her sisters, Puteri Nurul Akma, three, and Nur Izzati Husna, 12, were found in a canal some 3.5km away in Kampung Padang Tani about 4pm the next day.
